question by Amy : How hypnophobia (fear of sleep, rather than fear of hypnosis) caused
I know that in general, phobias, either from parents or bad experiences to come, for example. nearly drowning when you heard you could make a child afraid of hypnophobia Wasser.Ich, which means a fear of sleep, and apparently hypnophobics will sleep as long as possible to avoid involuntary till you drop in the vicinity immediate. But how do you get scared to sleep? I mean, you can create a “bad experience” going to sleep? Or is it more like anorexia technically asleep “fear” of sleep (or eat), but the desire to control? Does anyone know? Definitive answers would be better: D Thank Best answer:

Maybe people are afraid of losing control hypnophobia on his body. Maybe they think if they sleep vulnerable.
What do you think? Answer below!

It could be from a previous episode of sleep apnea (when you suddenly stop breathing while you’re asleep) and the person feels that they will never wake up and die in their sleep.
Or it could just be that the person is afraid of what could happen while they sleep. By that I mean something could happen and they would never know (such as a death of a friend or loved one) because they were unconscious. Perhaps the fact that they are unconscious could flat out frighten a person.
