Question by reddyrnot18: How does Hypnotherapy work?
I am writing a play… and in it a patient (with depersonalization disorder) receives clinical hypnosis from a doctor…
I have a few questions regarding technicalities of hypnotherapy-
Can the “guide/hypnotist” put an image into the patient’s mind?
Can false memories be created?
Is anesthesia generally used/ How is hypnosis induced on the patient?
How long does it last/ when will the patient return to normal consciousness?
any information is MUCH appreciated, thank you.

Hypnosis is defined as bypassing the critical factor this means that as Long as some one can Change your train of thought they can hypnotize you, they dont need a watch or to tell you to relax, but it helps, as far as false memories and imagery yes very possible and it’s so basic with fifteen minutes from a master you could learn how to do it to, also hypnotherapy can be used to supress memories too and make you relive them too
